HIT THE DARKNESS AROUND 7:30PM AND LOOK SOUTH THERE YOU SHOULD SEE A SUPER BRIGHT STAR NEAR-ISH TO THE LEFT OF ORION THE HUNTER S HOURGLASS FIGURE THAT IS SIRIUS THE DOG STAR IN CANIS MAJOR!
CANIS THE DOG IS CHASING LEPUS THE HARE ACROSS THE SKY TO FIND LEPUS FOLLOW THE LINE MADE BY SIRIUS AND MURZIM TO ARNEB HARE IN ARABIC THAT S LEPUS!
NOW HERE COMES THE CHALLENGE.
UP AND TO THE LEFT OF LEPUS IS RIGEL THAT S ORION S FOOT BUT IF YOU USE RIGEL TO DRAW A LINE THROUGH ARNEB YOU SHOULD SEE STAR PHACT AT THE TOP OF A LITTLE TRIANGLE OF STARS; THAT S COLUMBA THE DOVE.
A DOG, A RABBIT AND DOVE IN THE SOUTHERN SKY!
